  An Academic March for String Orchestra
  As reviewed by American String Teacher Magazine,this refreshing work reflects teaching experience and unerring feeling for the abilities of advancing string players. It is a delightful ABA work, with dramatic outer sections contrasting with the more lyrical middle. Violins play mostly in first position witha few well prepared shifts to third. Basses vary the ensembles timbre and texture by doubling cellos arco, mirroring them pizzicato, or dropping out altogether. This is an excellent addition to any string orchestra's repertoire. Grade 2"

  A Concert Prelude for String Orchestra
  This is a very lyrical piece that opens with the primary thematic material played by the violas and cellos. Set in C major, the perky middle section modulates to F major, returning to C but ultimately ending in F. All sections of the orchestra get to play the primary thematic materal.
